Manufacture and installation of bespoke steel folding doors, heavy-duty steel door frames, and custom interior railings for the reconstruction of the historic Old Town Hall in Havlíčkův Brod.

For the reconstruction of the historic Old Town Hall in Havlíčkův Brod, we delivered several custom architectural steel elements developed in cooperation with the project architect and general contractor.
The job included fabrication and installation of large folding vestibule doors from 2 mm steel sheet, a custom door frame system from 12 mm steel plate and interior railings from 12 mm steel plate.
The aim was to create contemporary steel elements that would fit the historic character of the building while meeting modern requirements for safety, durability and daily operation.
One of the most distinctive parts of this project was the surface finish specified by the architect.
Instead of conventional paint, the steel elements received a transparent protective coating that preserves and highlights the natural appearance of the material. This kept the texture and character of the steel visible while still providing long-term protection.
Achieving the required visual quality demanded careful material selection and inspection. Even small marks from production, handling, transport or storage became visible after the transparent finish, so the steel sheets had to be selected with care.
Despite their size and weight, the folding doors were built to operate smoothly in everyday use. The result is a practical solution that also creates a strong visual effect in the restored historic interior.
